The reality distortion field has a strong track record: most “impossible” goals are eventually achieved, though often years behind the promised timeline. Conviction at that level pushes teams to attempt what they would otherwise write off.

It requires genuine belief and clear communication; hype alone won’t carry it. Musk’s technical credibility and his record of delivering on earlier “impossible” promises strengthen the effect.
